I recently purchased a re-threaded "Phantom" barrel. The problem is that is will not thread into any on my 5 phantom bodies and I believe the threads were never finished. As in who ever machined them didn't finish cutting them deep enough. Its a boom stick so it has those two bulges in the stainless portion of the barrel one of which (The rear most one) is cut down to fit a pump handle the forward one was not lending more credence to my "Unfinished product" theory. I already spent 65 bucks on this thing so if I can't get it finished for a reasonable price i'm going turn it down into a SL-68II barrel with my lathe since I can not cut threads. That will still leave me in the up the creak in terms of a phantom barrel but I learned a lesson at least.

My question is are there any machinists on this forum willing to help me save this thing. I would need the threads re-cut and the forward bulge turned down to match the rear one.
