I bought a pair of these for running before I saw the thread; they arrive tomorrow (according to UPS tracking). From all the reviews I have read, they hurt like the dickens until all the usually-not-used muscles and such in your feet strengthen up over the course of a few weeks. THEN you get to enjoy the benefits (faster runs and sprints, significant drop in running/ walking related injuries, etc...).

Honestly, I never really thought to much about using these for paintball, I have a nice pair of USMC issue combat boots that have several hundred miles on them, so they fit all nice and perfect Cheesy. Running in those beasts is an ENTIRELY different story though... But maybe after my poor widdle feetsies get used to the KSO's I'll try a few rounds with them and see how they work.

It's true that with time and use you learn to feel before putting all your weight down and can adjust your foot. I am going to be in southern WI next month and will be playing some speedball so will finally get to try them out. I do know that my feet are getting tougher and am able to do more with them. I also read a review from a professional runner that he has logged over 900 hours and has only had a few minor repairs.

After reading and seeing these, I decided to give these a try too(PhOG/MCB design KSOs?). My feet did get sore, but this is probably because of both me having to adjust to this style of running, and because I had previously been benched for 2 years due to being on medical roids, so I needed to get back into it. Since they don't make children's sizes, I had to get one of the smallest women's sizes(the shame!). I wore them to Living Legends, and overall they were great, except walking on the rock pathways was a bit irritating. Price was also a meh, but overall, I like em. Also, I've gained the nickname of Treefrog.   Cool

Got 'em and had the chance to put a few miles on them!

Bottom line - these are a whole new world of running/walking. My advice would be to use them for at LEAST a few weeks before jumping into a game with them, to make sure your feet are all nice and broken in. Yes, you will be sore. If you run heel-toe (where you land on your heel and rock forward) you WILL learn to run "properly"; as in, lading centered or on the ball of your foot. This was a problem I had for 25-odd years of running and moving, but now that I run center-foot/ball of foot, I can not only run farther, but my chronic knee pain has gone away!

Due to finances and that dang thing called "work", I have been unable to take these out to a fight, but as soon as I do i'll let ya'll know how it goes.

Used these in a few speedball games today and must say I'm very impressed. No slipping or sliding even after a brief shower. They did stir up comments but by the end of the day they were good comments.
