This event will be organized by two local pump enthusiast; myself (sniper72) and cmosser502. Any questions or concerns can be either posted on this thread or sent directly to us via PM. Now, on to the good stuff!

Event Date: June 27, 2009 (Saturday)
                    June 28, 2009 (Sunday)

Field: Paintball Asylum
3101 Pond Station Road
Louisville, Ky 40272

Web Site: Paintball Asylum - Home

Cost: $10 Saturday all day air and field fee
$15 Saturday/Sunday all day air and field fee
$40 (Stinger?)-$45 (Premium) per case of paint

This will not be a tournament of any kind, simply a day good fun for PUMPERS to get together and play. Cmosser502 and I have compiled a list of over 20 local pumpers that we play with regularly who will be in attendance. By the time this event takes place we will surely have added more as there is a big game at Asylum next weekend where we will network with more local pumpers and add to the list.

Paintball Asylum is one of the nicest, professionally run fields this region of the country. The owner is a former professional paintballer who knows what it takes to make it in this industry. Paintball Asylum has all the amenities needed to run large events including one of the nicest Pro Shops around. Recently, many new additions have been added to the fields such as turf, a new castle (just finished days ago) and many more. I will be playing this weekend and will take lots of pictures to add to this thread of the fields and Pro shop.

The owner has already secured lots of prizes to give away in a raffle style format (more details on that as they come). If the prizes are anything like what he gives away in his seasonal big games....you won't be disappointed. We are also attempting to lure some of the big industry players here as well. I will keep you posted on efforts regarding this. We hope to make this an annual event. The pump niche has really taken off here locally and around the country. Can't wait to make this happen and hope to see you all there. I will be starting a list here of people attending. This list will be updated daily. Also, I will be posting this thread on various other sites to stir interest. Thanks and God bless!

Todd

I just got off the phone with Steve "Mongo" Brett, http://www.desertduckdd68.com/4436.html maker of the "Duckslide" (awesome Phantom kit) and the "Redux".  Just called to get some business cards to help promote his products and he graciously offered some really awesome prizes that will be given away in the raffle the day of the event.  If you ever get the chance to meet him or talk to him he is one of the industry's nicest person to chat with.  Extremely talented and full of knowledge.  Now on to the goodies (only the parts listed below...not the complete marker:darn:ROTFL:):

Several one piece feeds (super nice...I have one on my Duckslide)
[/IMG]

A certificate for getting a barrel bored for freak inserts (which I had him do on mine as well...nice work)
[/IMG]

I hope to meet him in person at the Spring Pump Event.  On that note, I also spoke to Mike Casady of CCI today.  He will not be able to attend, but has offered to put our flyers at his booth at the Spring Pump Event in Bloomington, Il.  We should get alot good mileage out of that and I am very appreciative of his offer.  I hope to get a few small prizes from him as well.  He told me to "keep him in the loop".  This is really stacking up to be a nice event.  Stay tuned!

Another awesome individual in our industry comes through with a very nice prize for the event. Bill Bushnell of http://pbchainmail.com has offered to donate one of his custom tank covers to the event for the raffle. Alot of time and effort go into making one of these covers and it greatly appreciated. If you have yet to see these, they are very unique and top notch (I own four of them myself). He makes them in varying sizes as well as custom sizes. Be sure if your at the Spring Pump Event to stop by and see him, he will have a booth there. Check it out and stay tuned!

Major upgrades happening @ ASYLUM
Asylum is installing air @ the xball & 7man field, along with pits. The 7man field is getting the long awaited turf edition to not only make it 7man legal but xball legal aswell.

A new race 2009 field will be installed on the turfed field and debuted April 4 at the 1st leg of the 2009 MSXL xball league. This will make the Asylum 1 of 2 fields in the world that has a synthetic turfed xball field (the other SMARTPARTS) If your team is not signed up yet, sign up now! This will make ASYLUM live the legacy for the most advanced Paintball complex in the state, a facility built for the players.

I have a few of Mar's shirts that I bought from off this website (http://www.mcarterbrown.com/forums/paintball-news/73170-deadbox-before-dishonor-new-designs.html) and they are totally top notch.  I am pleased to announce that Mar has included a couple shirts in my next order to give away in support of our event on June 27 @ Asylum.  It will be greatly appreciated and I'm sure those who don't win will be very envious !  I will be sure to let them know where they can pick up one of these great shirts.  Thanks again Mar.

Talk to the lovely Mel of CCM http://chipleymachine.com today and had a really nice conversation regarding our event. Some of the nicest people in the industry...the kind of people we pump players meet when we gather to play. She has committed a nice, small bag of mystery goodies to give away as prizes at our event. The suspense is killing me...CCM Goodness! I have come to find out that it was not only the sport of pump play that drew me to this niche in paintball, but the genuine people as well. These are the kind of people that you meet as strangers at the field who are willing to help you when you are having problems with your equipment. Their products speak for themselves, as well as they stand behind them. Thanks and God Bless!

I just spoke with Rodney of Remember The Ronin http://www.phlaunt.com/remembertheronin/ and he has come through with a mystery package of his own for our event.  I tell you, I'm simply speechless and overwhelmed by the individuals of our industry.  This is beyond what I could have imagined.  Just imagine going door to door and asking for support for a good cause...how many times would the door get slammed in your face?  Anyways, if you're not aware of RTR, be sure to check it out.  Very meaningful story behind the products...not to mention he just makes some killer stuff!  Thanks Rodney!

Airsoldier Products http://www.airsoldier.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=SFNT&Store_Code=AOS carries some of the trickest products around.  Through their generosity I am pleased to announce that we will have their support.  If you are unaware of the new ASP Custom Phantom Body that he is carrying you really need to check it out.  We will have one of these to give away as well as another trinket or two.  Thank you for your support.  Hopefully next year instead of prizes we can get these wonderful individuals to come to our event! Sometimes in life you can't even imagine the actions and words of others...for better or worse.  Obviously by the intro to this thread you can see that this is a praise!  I called Mike Casady of CCI to chat with him about how this weekend went at SPE.  In one of the pictures on this forum I saw my brochures advertising our event sitting on his table at his booth.  We talked for quite a while about SPE and also he said that he had handed out quite a few brochures during the weekend.  I thanked him for his support.  I was in mid sentence of proposing to him about aquiring a Phantom at a super reasonable price that the owner of the field would be willing to pay when he completely blew me away!  "I am going to give you a Phantom tricked out with all the bells and whistles for free to give away at your event"!  He said he had been planning on doing this for some time and that we were on his list of things to do.  What, your kidding right.  Long story short, he is a legend of this sport and one of the kindest people you will meet.  I hope to meet him in person one day to thank him face to face.  Mike, Thanks and God Bless You!

As prizes start to come in I will post pictures.  Can't wait to meet alot of you that I see on the board and play some pump!  See ya there.

This event is going to be a two day event. Saturday, June 27 will consist mainly of woodsball and the raffle will be held on Saturday. Sunday, June 28 will consist of a tournament style format on the airball field. Kind of what we had in mind would be everyone paying a couple of dollars to enter, put everyones name in a hat and randomly put together teams. We need to get together some details, but a format similar to SPE. The money would go to the winning team. Depending on how many people show up on Sunday will determine what size the teams will be. The field fee will be as stated before: Saturday $10 or Saturday/Sunday $15.

As for camping, there is plenty of room for tents. Also, there are four electrical outlets for RV and will be on a first come basis.

See ya there,
Todd

Here's a few pics of some of the raffle items that have come in thus far.

Thanks Mar (Deadbox Before Dishonor), awesome shirt!

Thanks Rodney (RTR), cool barrel bags and shirts!

Thanks Mike (CCI), this gun is hot...literally.  The acid wash makes the marker look like it is on fire.  I'm jealous of whoever the lucky person is that wins this one!

Stay tuned for more, this is just a peek Wink

Colin of deadlywind.com]deadlywind.com was gracious enough to donate one of his hot new products...The Fibur barrel in Phantom thread. This carbon fiber barrel requires the use of Freak Inserts, thus enhancing accuracy and eliminating roll outs. This is brand new, just been out for less than a day. I was the first one to purchase one so you know I will be rockin it that weekend. Anyways, check out his products as they are top notch. There's a little something for everyone on that website and you definitely get what you pay for. I've had one of the Fibur barrels in Cocker thread for about 8 months and it shoots like butter:gunsfiring:! See ya there.
